The Home Defense (201) is designed to teach you the mindset necessary for responding to a home invasion, as well as the tactics and techniques you can use to safeguard your loved ones and yourself.

Students in this course can expect a smaller class size, allowing us to tailor the training to their individual needs and lives. Students will leave this course with the confidence to protect themselves and everyone they care about at home. 

Whether at home, in the office, or out in town, you must be better prepared and take ownership of your lives. This course will teach you how to create a customized home defense plan and work through contingencies tailored to your specific environment.

COURSE OVERVIEW: 

This course is designed to teach you the mindset needed for responding to a home invasion, along with the tactics and techniques we can use to protect our loved ones and ourselves.

This 3-day course will begin with live fire on the range, where we will focus on everyday carry, both inside and outside the home. Day 2 will focus on solo response CQB and actions defending your home. We will culminate on day 3 with custom-built micro force-on-force scenarios based on your home environment. The number one technique in any of these environments is prevention, which is how we deter a home invasion from happening in the first place.

Students will receive detailed course instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises, real-life force-on-force scenarios, and immediate diagnostic feedback to enhance their operational capabilities. The environment and objectives will be realistic based on our experience working in the most elite US Army and Law Enforcement units. Students will learn leading-edge tactics used today by Tier 1 teams to search and clear a structure.

Day 1: Introduction to Home Defense | Fundamentals of Marksmanship | Everyday Carry Configurations & Considerations Live Fire (Range)

Day 2: Home Defense Planning | Legal Use of Force | Solo Clearance Techniques (Shoothouse)

Day 3: Custom Home Defense Scenarios (Shoothouse)

COURSE LOGISTICS:

This course will be LIVE FIRE on DAY 1 ONLY; the remainder of the course is simunition-based. 

You will be required to use your own 9MM Pistol & Everyday Carry holster, bag, or fanny pack.  

You are also authorized to bring and use an AR-15 ONLY if you currently use one for Home Defense and/or as a "Truck Gun".

We will provide all live ammunition needed for this course, 9MM/5.56 ONLY  

You will be provided with the simunition training rifle and pistol.  

We will provide the simunition training ammunition for this course.

You are required to have a weapon-mounted light and/or a Handheld Light.

Blu Bearing will provide lunch daily for this course 

The course is limited to 8 students to offer the custom-tailored experience you deserve. 

ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning

  • Wear clothing suitable for training in any weather; pants must have belt loops.

  • Extra Batteries 

  • Earmuffs and earplugs (Electronic Preferred)
