The NVG | Low Light CQB (201) course is designed as an advanced CQB & SUT training program. Students are expected to have a solid foundation in moving and shooting on a flat range and in close-quarters battle (CQB) situations. This course will teach you how to shoot, move, and communicate effectively, both individually and as a team, in a CQB environment under low-light and night-vision conditions.

In this course, attendees will learn about the technical aspects of night vision equipment, as well as the practical application of night vision in close-quarters environments and small-unit tactics in rural settings. 

We will run the course from mid-day into early evening all three days. Day 1-2 are Simunition-Based & finish on Day 3 with Live Fire 

Class is limited to 12 students.

PRE-REQUISITES:

  • To register for this course, you must have completed a Blu Bearing Rifle & Pistol & CQB course or an equivalent intermediate-level course with prior approval from the BB team.
  • This is an advanced course designed for individuals who can move and shoot safely around other students. 
  • All attendees will complete a shooting and movement assessment at the beginning of Day 1. If you are unable to complete this assessment safely and confidently, you will be removed from the course.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course is designed as an advanced CQB/SUT training program. Students are expected to have a solid foundation in moving and shooting on a flat range and in close-quarters battle (CQB) situations. This course will teach you how to shoot, move, and communicate effectively, both individually and as a team, in a CQB environment under low-light and night-vision conditions.

In this course, attendees will learn about the technical aspects of night vision equipment, as well as the practical application of night vision in close-quarters environments and small-unit tactics in rural settings, drawing on our experience working with the most elite US Army and Law Enforcement units. The environment and objectives will be realistic. 

You will learn how to identify what type of environment you’re in, which will assist in your decision-making when choosing a tactic/tool to apply. You will also begin to understand when to change tempo and tactics as the situation changes or evolves. Students will receive detailed course instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises, real-life force-on-force scenarios, live fire training, and immediate diagnostic feedback to enhance their operational capabilities.

Day 1: Introduction to NVG (Classroom) | CQB Fundamentals

Day 2: CQB Evolutions | Small Unit Tactics Rural/Urban

Day 3: Shooting Fundamentals | Low Light Shooting Mechanics | NVG Shooting Mechanics 

COURSE LOGISTICS:

This course will run from mid-day into early evening all three days. Day 1-2 are Simunition-Based & finish on Day 3 with Live Fire 

We will provide all live ammunition needed for this course, 9MM/5.56 ONLY  

You will be provided with the simunition training rifle and pistol.  

We will provide the simunition training ammunition for this course.

Blu Bearing will provide lunch daily for this course 

The course is limited to 12 students to offer the custom-tailored experience you deserve. 

You must bring the items below to complete this training:

  • AR-15 Platforms NO PDW/PCC
  • IR Illuminator (Laser)
  • Weapon-Mounted Light (Rifle)
  • Two Point Sling 
  • Two Rifle Magazines
  • Rifle Magazine Pouch on Pistol Belt
  • Semi-automatic pistol – Full-size
  • Weapon Mounted Light (Pistol) 
  • Three Pistol Magazines
  • Dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster, Active Retention or Friction Retention only
  • Two Magazine pouches
  • Pistol Belt
  • Helmet with NVG Mount
  • Night Vision Devices

ADDITIONAL ITEMS:

  • Headlamp 
  • Handheld Flashlight
  • Be able to carry at least one extra rifle magazine on your pistol belt
  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
  • Wear clothing suitable for training in any weather; pants must have belt loops.
  • You will be provided with Eye Protection with Clear & Tinted Z87+ Lenses (If you have prescription glasses, they MUST have wraparound protection)
  • Electronic Hearing Protection (Over the Ear or In the Ear)
