The Protector Mindset (101) course is designed to instill the mindset and skills required to successfully intervene in any active threat situation. The course will culminate with an immersive force-on-force scenario at a live commercial building. You will be challenged to make critical decisions under different types of stress and cultivate the confidence to intervene solo during an Active Shooter Situation, where we force de-confliction with other armed responders and armed citizens. Students will leave this course with purpose, clarity, confidence, and the tools to stop active shooters.

COURSE LOGISTICS:

This course is designed for Law Enforcement & Private Citizens who are in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME and are the RIGHT PERSON. It is designed to test students’ ability to make critical decisions under different types of stress and cultivate the confidence to apply lethal intervention solo during an Active Threat Situation, where we force de-confliction with other armed responders and armed citizens. Students will leave this course with purpose, clarity, confidence, and the tools to stop active shooters.

This 2-day course will begin with an introduction to the Protector Mindset lecture, followed by hands-on training focused on solo response CQB and target discrimination, culminating in practical exercises in convergence with other responders; de-confliction in these environments will be paramount. Day 2 will culminate in custom-built force-on-force scenarios based on real-world environments.

We have combined our experience and the lessons learned from active threat response situations that our country has been plagued with since the Columbine School Shooting (1999), and more recently with the Robb Elementary School Shooting (2021) and the Covenant School Shooting (2023). We identify the common themes of these attacks and break them down into a three-day, consumable training event. Active Threat Response is one of the most dynamic environments, and training must be as adaptive and realistic as possible to be effective.

The environment and objectives will be realistic. Based on our experience working in the most elite US Army & Law Enforcement units, which focused primarily on hostage rescue. Students will learn leading-edge tactics used by Tier 1 teams today to search and clear a structure.

At the end of each day, the instructors will work with each student to identify specific things to take away from that day. Students will receive detailed instruction, demonstrations, practical exercises, and real-life force-on-force scenarios, leaving the course with a clear understanding of how to apply what they learned in everyday life.

COURSE LOGISTICS:

This course is a simunition-based course

You will be provided with the simunition training rifle and pistol.

We will provide the simunition training ammunition for this course.

You are required to have a weapon-mounted light and/or a Handheld Light.

The course is limited to 12 students to offer the custom-tailored experience you deserve.
